Genoa – Two people are dead after a crash involving three pick-up trucks on Illinois Route 23, north of Ellen Drive, near Genoa just before 8 a.m. Monday, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office. At 7:57 a.m. the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office responded to the multi-vehicle crash south of Genoa, and identified eight patients from the three vehicles involved, according to a news release. Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, another was treated and released and five other people were taken to Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb, authorities said.
