DeKALB – Going to the DMV just got easier and less stressful for DeKalb residents. Starting Sept. 1, the Driver and Motor Vehicles facility located at 1360 Oakwood Street has begun taking measures to reduce wait time for individuals and make their processes easier. This is part of the, 'Skip the Line' program, Secretary of State, Alex Giannoulias, announced. The program targets the 44 busiest DMVs in Illinois. Skip the Line plans on reducing wait times at DMV facilities using a three part strategy; simplifying online services, appointment scheduling and increased hours of operation.
