DeKalb County Election judges are getting a raise. The Illinois legislature voted to increase the reimbursement each county receives in order to pay each election worker 20 dollars more. In addition, DeKalb County Board members voted to raise election judge compensation by $30. Tasha Sims is the DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder. Your browser does not support the audio element. The election day shift is long for poll workers, 15 hours. Sims says the county will have up to 5 election judges at each precinct for the 2024 Illinois Primary in March.
